We’re now back in Cape Town enjoying one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. This 5 or so mile drive with it’s 114 hairpin curves skirts Chapman’s Peak and follows the rocky coastline to Hout Bay on the Atlantic Coast on the south-western tip of South Africa. The Drive was opened in 1922 and is a paradise for motorists, sightseers, picnickers, runners, hikers, motor bikers and
bicycles. This drive is a photographer’s dream offering stunning 180 degree views with many areas along the route where you can stop, take photos or just sit down for a relaxing picnic.
