Elephant Crossing

In the a.m. The ellies will cross the river to forage on the other bank then in the early evening, swim back again. When the young are still too small to touch the bottom, one elephant will swim behind supporting the calf with her trunk. The calf will also hold onto the tail of the elephant in front.
